How Does Evercrypted Work?

1

Key Exchange

On every new connection between our server and your device, encryption keys are exchanged with crystal-kyber-1024 post-quantum cryptographic key exchange mechanism

2

Message Encryption

After that, all information in-between is encrypted with another quantum resistant XChaCha20-Poly1305 cryptography

3

End-to-End Encryption

When you start a one-to-one or a group chat with anyone, another key is exchanged on top, but this time between yours and the other person's device. All the sent messages in the chat get automatically encrypted with the new End-To-End key

4

Password Protection

Every message's encryption key can be modified by a password. You can even use different passwords for every new message. Passwords can be 32 characters long.

Also every file sent through evercrypted can be of maximum 50 MB in size for this reason.
